Yes, Unlimited Swaps Are Included
All of AVC’s Bronze, Silver and Gold plans include unlimited vehicle swaps throughout your subscription period. There’s a minimum 4-day hire per vehicle, but beyond that you’re free to switch as often as you like.
The Diamond (Limitless) plan operates slightly differently — it includes a set number of swaps (3 swaps on the 6-month plan, 6 swaps on the 12-month plan) because it provides a vehicle every single day. View all plan details here.
Why Would You Swap Vehicles?
There are lots of reasons you might want to change your vehicle mid-subscription:
- Your needs have changed — a new baby, a house move, or a new job might mean you need something bigger or smaller
- You need a specialist vehicle temporarily — a family member needs to use a wheelchair accessible vehicle for a period
- You want to try something different — one of the pleasures of a subscription is the freedom to drive different models
- A planned event — you need a larger car for a holiday or a prestige vehicle for a special occasion
- Your current vehicle isn’t quite right — you’ve realised a different model suits your lifestyle better
What Vehicles Can You Swap To?
You can choose any available vehicle from AVC’s fleet within your plan’s vehicle group. The fleet includes hatchbacks, SUVs, hybrid vehicles, people carriers and wheelchair accessible vehicles. Explore the full range here.
If you’re on a Bronze, Silver or Gold plan, swaps are within Group A vehicles. The Diamond plan also includes access to premium Group B vehicles (such as the Audi A3 or BMW 2 Series) for an additional monthly supplement.
How Do You Arrange a Swap?
The process is simple:
- Contact the AVC team to let them know you’d like to swap
- Discuss which vehicle you’d like to move to
- Arrange a delivery and collection date that suits you
- Your new vehicle arrives and your previous one is collected
There’s no complex paperwork or lengthy process. It’s designed to be as straightforward as possible.
Is There a Charge for Swapping?
Vehicle swaps are included within the plan at no additional charge (subject to vehicle group). This is another way AVC differs from traditional car hire or leasing, where changing your vehicle mid-contract can be costly or impossible.
Swapping to or from an Accessible Vehicle
This is a particularly useful feature for disabled drivers or carers. If your needs change — for example, you need a wheelchair accessible vehicle for a period and then a standard car afterwards — you can swap between AVC’s disability vehicles and standard models within the same subscription.
